Before leaving Corpus Christi, we drive over to Padre Island to take a ferry ride to Port Aransas. This is a free ferry ride. Just drive your car on ferry and go across part of Corpus Christi Bay. It is about a 3 minute ride.

After leaving Corpus Christi, we headed to Austin, Texas. The 3 hour drive became a 5-1/2 hour drive. Skip's Garmin (which he named "Brittany") took us on the scenic route. We went through small towns, saw lots of cattle and farm ranches. We made it to Oak Forest RV Park in Austin.  We will be here for about 2-1/2 weeks.
