We arrived in New Orleans on 11/8/12 - staying at Ponchatrain RV Park (in industrial 9th ward). On the intercoastal between Lake Ponchatrain and Mississippi River. We have stayed here before.
Happy to be in the land of beignets, Bourbon Street, jazz, and football!!!!!
First place I always head to is Cafe Beignet - need my beignets (fried dough covered in powdered sugar). Afterwards just walked around listening to music and popping in at a few stores. Beautiful day to walk along Mississippi River. Love this place!!!!!

Dinner was at the Red Fish Grille on Canal and Bourbon Street. We both had fish and it was excellent.
Sunday was game day at Superdome - New Orleans Saints v. undefeated Falcons.
We had a great time. Seats were up in the rafters but didn't matter. Fans party all over the Superdome!!!! Turned out to be a great game (Saints beat Falcons!!!!). Fans yell loud and sing loud!!!! Everyone hi-fi's touchdowns and everyone hugs each other!!!! Great way to spend a day in New Orleans!!!!
I got to rest and guard motorhome and get biscuits from the gentleman who brought us to our sight! I love this place. Get treated like a queen!!!!!!
